“ Stopped here visiting from Chicago and the food was fire . We originally saw some content on social media and knew we had to check it out. We ordered the Oxtail, Mac and cheese with the sweet plantains. We also had to try a patty which was on point. The Oxtail was pricey. But overall we were not disappointed. ”
“ The food was on point. I ordered the jerk chicken with the stew chicken and it was simply delicious. I’ll definitely be going back. The atmosphere was great with patio seating and reggae/dancehall music resonating in the air. ”
“ Awesome customer service from the young lady’s at the register. Very welcoming environment, this was my first time trying Jamaican food! I order the curry chicken and it didn’t disappoint!! Love this hidden gem. Thanks lady’s!! ”
“ I ordered 2 beef meat pies, 1 Oxtail egg roll, and 1 Jerk chicken egg roll for 38 and some change. I bit pricey but still... I enjoyed the meat pies. They were flaky and delicious. Though they were flavorful, I've had better, but they were good. I'd order them again. The Oxtail egg rolls were delicious, as well. They came with a sauce that was sweet and savory. I've never had jerk chicken before but ordered the egg rolls anyway. I didn't like them. I'm not sure what the seasoning was but I didn't care for the smell or taste of it. I did split all of it with a friend though and she loved them. She said they were perfect. I'll definitely be back. ”
“ I’m in Love!! The flavors in your mouth are so delicious you know the food was made with love!!!! Hot juicy jerk chicken along side rice and peas with steamed cabbage that tastes amazing. Top it off with desert on your plate —-sweet mouth watering plantains. You even get enough to save some for later! ”
“ The food was absolutely amazing!!! I am from the Caribbean and I must say this is the best Caribbean restaurant I’ve eaten from in Texas . The atmosphere is absolutely beautiful as well . I would advise calling in advance to place an order if you’d like to just pick up and go , but if you wanted to stay and dine then you’d enjoy the beautiful clean atmosphere. Highly recommend this place !!! ”
“ the food was amazing! our first time here was such an awesome experience, lovely music, amazing food with good seasoning, and great drink! I wish they have a fountain drink machine though bc we'd love some ice with our drinks but other than that the food is great! I recommend getting the cabbage sides, mac and cheese and jerk chicken wings! for drink I definitely recommend the Acres Shakers and the punch! ”
“ I was in the area and remembered I saw this restaurant on IG and decided to stop by and get some food. I wasn’t really hungry so I got 2 patties, one chicken and one beef. I preferred the beef over the chicken. The crust was flaky and the beef to crust ratio was perfect. The taste was good and the price was fair. The MAIN reason I will be returning is the service. Even though it was a Wednesday afternoon, hot outside, the restaurant was busy, people were coming in and out and there was a line out the door. The staff was STILL friendly , my patties were STILL fresh and I ordered through DoorDash so I didn’t have to wait long. THEN when my name was called I was handed my food and the CASHIER SMILED AT ME . I was flabbergasted... It’s rare that all these qualities are present in one experience. I will be returning to try the oxtail egg rolls and the curry chicken plate. Thank you Jamaica Pon Di Road for keeping your customer service intact even when your business is busy. It means a lot to some customers. ”
